Cool Cards

Here are some cool folded cards I made – hopefully loosely based on cards I saw Sally making. She hasn’t forwarded the instructions yet but I stumbled across some instructions on the net (as per usual I can’t remember where – I’ll fill you in if I spot them again) and think they are similar.

It is hard to tell from a scan but it is like a card within a card – the top rectangle folds back to the right, you then unfold the left and a space to write your message is revealed. And Sally was right – once you have the measurements they come together pretty quickly.

New Stamp Set

I received a new stamp set and as always happens I get all carried away and use nothing else for a while afterwards – sorry but the next few posts will be 101 ways with Baroque Motifs. I just LOVE ti and after admiring it for about a year I just had to have it.

Most of my cards will be similar but in a different colour way – and most will have been cased from someone else.

Swaps

Here are a couple of swap cards I have done recently. There is an Autumn card, a ‘shaped’ card (anything but rectangular) and a “j” ATC.

Happy Birthday Mum

It was Mum’s birthday last week – on St Patrick's Day. She was away on holiday so didn’t have to post it to get to her on time – but must get it posted soon!

Here is the card I made for her.

Triptych

Here are some pictures of my triptych for a swap – it was a real challenge but I love it now! It looks heaps better in real life and I hope the person that receives it loves it as much as I do!

The colours were to be ‘Vintage’ and the theme was ‘friends’ I created mine all joined together so they folded up and made it like a little house where you can see things in through the door and window.

Makes My Heart Smile Blog Award

image

Libby has nominated me as one of her 10 Favourite Blogs – how lovely.

So here’s how it works:
1. The winner may put the logo on their blog.
2. Put a link to the person who sent you the award.
3. Nominate 10 blogs.
4. Put links to their blogs.
5. Leave a message for your nominees.

I’m not too sure that I can come up with 10 – but I’ll work on it. I’ll start with three and come back to it next week -I have to go pack for church camp … better get a wriggle on!
