Some SWAP cards

This cute guy has to make the recipient smile - I'm sure he will! The design is paper tole.

The theme for these was open but all 3 ATCs needed to be the same theme. My theme is "Summer Fruit" - the fruit were stamped with water colour crayons instead of ink - cool!

The themes for these ones are "H", Vintage and Anything.

More Christmas Cards

Here is another card I worked on last night ... I tried in a couple of colour combinations but this is the one that scanned the best!

I tried a new technique I found online somewhere and if I ever find out where I'll update you with a link :-)

Oooh, oooh I found it - go look here!

I punched some holes in a strip of scrap paper and then inked my rollergraph wheel and rolled it along the strip, over the holes. The ink only goes on the paper through the holes. Then I rubbed ink through the holes to create the baubles - clear as mud I'm sure! I added the black lines free hand and the sentiment. (The right hand side of the card has been chopped off in this picture but you get the idea I think)

A Special Treat

My good friend Kelly is currently sitting her second to last exam ever - the last one is tomorrow afternoon. She has been studying hard but it is always hard to know whether you've done enough till the results come out so to help with the last minute study and as a wee pick me up for when they are over I put together some goodies and dropped them off yesterday. I did some baking and packaged up some chocolate in some creative ways and made a calendar for next year and a card. I then covered an old box and decorated it. I hope it does the trick.

The goodies on displayInside the box
A mini chocolate bar lurks in there.
This packaging is called a sour cream container - make a tube of DP, seal one end, crimp, turn and seal opposite sides, crimp. (Hmmm maybe it's time to write a tutorial)

And this is a strawberry, that I made from a template I found online here - I enlarged it so I could fit LOTS of M&Ms inside.

More Cards

Here are some new cards I created recently ... kind of more Sarah inspiration ... with a "I think this needs something more" thrown in to boot.

I hope to get a chance to play tonight ... I have a new punch to christen :-)

Inspired by Sarah

I met a Stampin Up! demonstrator the other night and I was inspired by some of the details she uses on her cards - the little things that make a simple card special. Thanks Sarah.

I thought I'd try some of her techniques out - I tried some pricking and made some tiny eyelets from card to go behind my brads (they are probably too small but I made do with what I had). They are very hard to see in this scan but you get the idea.
